Therapy

Treatment goals are developed on a case-by-case basis according to specific needs presented. Methods may involve individual, family, couples or group therapies as well as parent/child, school or community behavioral interventions. Therapy can be short-term or long-term in focus.

Cognitively focused treatment may address learning problems, school readiness, giftedness, intelligence and/or various mental processing abilities.

Emotionally or relationally focused treatment may address behavior disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, social skills, marital issues and parent-child problems as well as physical, emotional and sexual abuse.

Additional treatment issues might be co-dependency, impulse control problems, relational difficulties, including social skill problems, specific men's or women's issues, sexual difficulties, addictions, eating problems, stress management, divorce adjustment and leftover issues from dysfunctional family backgrounds.
